The concert begins at 7:00, is family friendly and will last for one hour.  We promise it will be worth your time.  Tickets are $5.00 for an individual and $20.00 for a family (immediate family only please).  Questions?  Call Linda Garner 801-571-6699.

Meet our Concert Performers:

At 14 years old, Maggie Nawyn is already a concert pianist.

"Music is life for me," she said.  "I want opportunities to play with other people."

That is the main reason that Maggie took it upon herself to organize a local youth symphony and to restore the old Christensen Academy of Music and Dance for the concerts.

The Christensen Academy of Music and Dance was built in 1903 and was called The Silver Slipper Ballroom.  Maggie decided that her group would carry that name--The Silver Slipper Symphony.

The fundraising for Maggie's dream is ongoing.  The ballroom needs extensive repairs.  See more here.

Yes, Kramer Morton is a runner too.  Is there anything he can't do?    He recently placed 16th in  Footlocker National Cross Country Race in San Diego, and also placed in Nike Regionals.

Wait till you hear him sing.  He has performed often at Scout-a- Rama and  was a soloist in the Draper Temple Celebration.  He is currently recording for EFY, and rehearsing for Heritage Night for Scouting in January.  Click here to listen to Kramer perform at a Real soccer game.

Kramer is a junior at Alta High School, and  loves to hang out with family and friends.   He is track captain and is heavily involved in Utah Red Cross Youth Services.  He wants to make a difference in the world.

Keshav Sarin has been playing percussion for ten years.

Born in New Delhi, India, Keshav specializes in West African, Congolese and Brazilian percussion.

We are delighted to have Keshav teaching some of our afternoon workshops, and thrilled to have him also performing on our Concert.

And the beat goes on...

Matt Bardsley:  I have been writing playing and recording music for most of my life.  While in high school I was able to be a part in the recording of three different albums, and really fell in love with the production side of music.  In college, I was lucky enough to be in a band that also recorded an album.  We never made  money or became famous, but we had a lot of fun touring and performing.

Since college, I have continued to write, perform and record on my own, and for local LDS artist Jenny Phillips.

Though I did not choose a career in music, music has shaped my life in so many ways.  It was a contributing factor in wooing my wife, and has been instrumental (pun intended) in giving me so many opportunities to meet people and see the world.  I truly love music!

Meet our Workshop Presenters:

She taught 18 years in elementary, junior high, and high school, in Texas, Utah, Japan, India , the Phillipines, and inner-city Atlanta Georgia.

Pat specialized in identifying and developing individual learning abilities and difficulties.  She has assisted hundreds of clients ranging in age from 4 -87.   Her unique system has helped countless people of all ages achieve their dreams.

Pat will be teaching several of our groups.  She's never boring.  Check out Pat's website here.

Music has been a life-long love for Tiffany Parkin.  She  studied piano from Jeff Manookian, and studied voice with Martha Chavez.  She currently sings with the Sterling Singers, and plays piano, guitar, and autoharp.

After training with Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton, New Jersey, Tiffany began teaching Music Together.  She loves working with children, and volunteers as Assistant Director of the Singing Sharks in Sandy Elementary.

She loves making music with her own children, and feels that music is a birthright of all children as well as a gift to be shared.

Tiffany will create some music magic with our 3-7 year olds.  We need parents to accompany children under 6.

Keshav  Sarin will be performing on our evening concert, and will also  teach a percussion class for our 8-11 year olds, and the 12 and up crowd.  This will be a hands on experience and will be loads of fun.

Keshav was born in India and specializes in West African, Congolese and Brazilian percussion.

Matt Bardsley is awesome.  Just ask the kids who know him.  He loves kids and they know it.

Matt is a talented composer and performer.  You can read his bio above.  He will be teaching our teenagers a bit about song writing.  Together they will write a song.  How much fun is that!
